View: Viewing-mode |
Description of parameters:
Normal view: This is the common "waveform view".
Description of parameters:
Frequency view: This is a more powerful way of looking a the waveform. You can determine the exact frequency components of the sound. At any time of the time-axle (left<->right on the screen) you can see the frequency components (up<->down on the screen). If a stereo waveform is viewed, the window will be split into two.
The color black means that a component is absent at that time, and a bright color means that a frequency is strong at that time.
Please look at the statusbar for the exact time and frequency when moving the mouse.
Submenus, Full frequency range, lower range, extremely low range: You can "zoom in" on the lower frequencies by selecting the appropriate choice:
Full range: full range of frequencies.
Lower range: up to 1/4 of the full range.
Extremely low range: up to 1/16 of the full range.
Submenus, Stereo / differential view: When viewing a stereo waveform in frequency view, the two channels can be view separately (stereo) or "overlayed" (differential).
-When watched in stereo, the two channels are viewed separately, and there are two channels of viewing.
-When watched in differential view, the left channel is view in a red color, and the right channel is view in a green color. This could be useful for understanding the differences of the two channels.
